What type of training do I receive from Taxi's?
Our current training program consists of a combination of hands on and classroom training which will take 4 weeks to complete. The training will cover all facets of operating a business such as day to day operations, cooking and prep, marketing, accounting, hiring policies and procedures, cash management, customer relations, and other critical business matters. This training is available to not only franchise owner but your entire management and cooking staff. Our comprehensive Confidential Operations Manual will be provided in both print and electronic versions and will keep key information at your fingertips.
The Taxi's Training Team will then assist you at the opening of your new restaurant with a total of 10 days in your store for crew training and opening support. We will come equipped with training tools, recipe books, food photos and our Service Excellence Training so each team member will get all the training they need to be a star.
What type of real estate site selection help do I receive from Taxi's?
Site selection is extremely critical! Using our years of experience and national contacts, we will assist you with selecting an appropriate location. Equally as critical is a fair lease. Upon request, along with your attorney, we will review and make recommendations on your lease. We do not charge any fees to review your lease. Once the site is selected the CEO of Taxi's will personally visit each site and help in the evaluation of the location.
Who helps with the design and construction of the restaurant?
Each Taxi's Restaurant is unique. You will work with our California interior and kitchen designers to develop a restaurant that you will be proud of. Our team is flexible and creative. Our concept is very adaptable to fit a variety of locations including conversions of former restaurants. We have teamed up with Wasserstrom and Sons, a national equipment supplier; to custom fabricate our equipment and millwork to insure we get the best possible pricing and to make the construction process as streamlined as possible. Of course as an owner you can chose to purchase your equipment from the supplier of your choice. During construction a Taxi's representative will be available to answer construction related questions and do site visits as necessary.
What type of ongoing support will I receive from Taxi's?
A Taxi's representative will visit regularly and will remain available to answer business questions and help monitor and guide your stores performance. Our Confidential Operations Manual provided during training will assist you in the operation of your Taxi's Restaurant on a daily basis. Our office is always just a phone call or e-mail away. Ctuit, our on-line data system is one more way we can stay on top of trends and help you to operate more efficiently.
How do I receive the same products as other Taxi's?
Taxi's has national account pricing with major broad line suppliers so we have consistent pricing and products nationwide. Because we use national brands like Lamb Wesson, McCain, Tyson, Hormel, Dreyers/Edys and Heinz we are always assured premium quality products.
What type of marketing support do I receive from Taxi's?
We provide grand opening marketing plans specifically tailored to your new market to help you build strong sales . We constantly work with advertising professionals to come up with creative cost effective promotional ideas. By utilizing proven gorilla marketing techniques we are able to maximize your advertising dollar and increase sales. We provide new advertising and promotional campaigns throughout the year.
On going product development and creative menu ideas also help keep the concept fresh and exciting.
Can I open more than one store?
Yes. We encourage those franchisees, who are qualified, to open multiple locations and purchase territory rights. Based on your application, financial information, and prior experience, you may be eligible to purchase more than one Taxi's Restaurant up front.
Can I sell my store?
Yes. You own the business and the lease. You may sell your store to qualified buyers who are approved by Taxi's International LLC as a franchisee. Taxi's International LLC does have a first right of refusal to purchase the location from you.
What is the royalty and fee structure?
Taxi's Franchise Fee is $25,000, half of which is paid as agreements are executed, and the balance paid on a prorated basis as individual restaurants open. Multi unit fees are structured on an individual basis. Royalties are 4.5% of sales, a very fair and competitive rate. In addition to collecting royalties from franchisees, the Taxi's will also collect an additional 0.75% of sales to be paid to the Advertising Production Fee, established to produce all point of purchase materials, print and broadcast advertising.
What are the financial requirements?
Franchisee's must have at least $200,000 available to invest in the business and have good credit to obtain a loan for the balance of the funds needed to build and open the Taxi's Restaurant. Taxi's International LLC does not provide financing but has relationships with several equipment leasing companies and SBA lenders who are familiar with our program.
How do I get started?
The first step is to complete the online application/request form for consideration. This does not obligate you or Taxi's International LLC in any way. The information is simply used to determine whether or not owning a Taxi's Restaurant might be right for you. Upon receipt and review a representative from our Franchise Development team will contact you, address your questions and arrange a personal meeting if applicable. At the first meeting you will be given a Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC) for review. This document contains all the information required by the Federal Trade Commission and/or the particular state in which your Taxi's Restaurant will be located. A copy of our franchise agreement is included in the UFOC.
Taxi's Restaurant International, Inc. is not currently offering franchises in the following states: Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.
